Job Description:
The Fix is helping one of their long-standing medical communications agencies find a new and exciting Account Manager.
They are looking for someone with a med comms background and a scientific mind. A science degree is not required, but the ability to speak the scientific language with pharma clients is essential.
You will manage the planning and delivery of account activities and programmes to meet client objectives, ensuring quality delivery on budget and schedule. You will contribute to the growth of the account with support and maximize financial control of programmes.
The ideal candidate will have a med comms background and experience leading project delivery. They will be responsible for delivering multiple projects on brief, on time, and on budget.
Responsibilities
* Create project plans to ensure timely delivery.
* Ensure agency and client standards and compliance processes are followed.
* Develop and critique briefs, presentations, and copy aligned with project objectives.
* Understand programme and account KPIs and ensure project objectives support these.
* Input into feasible deadlines and budgets.
* Identify potential issues and develop contingency plans.
* Contribute to account growth and understand how individual projects fit into the bigger picture.
* Understand product/brand strategy and how med comms can support it, contributing to internal brainstorms.
* Brief KOLs, writers, freelancers, and suppliers based on disease area, key brand data, and competitor landscape to create compelling content.
* Proactively suggest ideas and solutions to help clients achieve objectives.
* Provide accurate estimates for new projects, learning from previous projects.
* Ensure project specifications are signed off and reviewed regularly to prevent scope creep.
* Monitor over/underspends and recommend solutions.
* Lead work through others and delegate appropriately.
* Identify resource needs, including editorial support and freelancers.
* Act as the main day-to-day contact for the client, ensuring effective communication.
* Identify issues, escalate to senior colleagues, and recommend solutions.
* Look for ways to add value for the client.
* Engage with KOLs appropriately, briefing them and managing expectations.
