The Sky Academy is currently searching for an experienced Class Teacher to join their friendly and supportive team.

About You
You will be:
* a qualified teacher or hold an equivalent teaching qualification.
* able to deliver the curriculum in your chosen area and consistently teach high-quality lessons across relevant key stages.
* able to meet the needs of learners from key identified groups, including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND, and high attaining students.
* a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change, motivate colleagues, and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* able to recognize, value, and support opportunities that extend beyond classroom delivery and seek to enrich and add value to the students' experience and learning.
* empowered to develop your own expert practice and support the development of others.
* highly competent in all elements of the Teachers’ Standards, with your achievements and contributions being substantial and sustained as an Upper Pay Scale teacher.
About The Sky Academy
The Sky Academy is a special school for young people in years 5 - 11 who have an EHCP to support their SEMH and SCL needs. Based in Taunton, our catchment includes young people from across Somerset within a 75-minute drive. Our core belief is that every young person deserves an educative experience that prepares them for adulthood and opens doors at Post 16. We focus on literacy, numeracy, PSHCE, PE, and a wider curriculum including Art, ICT, careers, and life skills.
We aim to provide opportunities for widening participation, fostering relationships, and ensuring high expectations in behaviour and attitudes for personal and academic development. We invest in high-quality CPD to support our staff in meeting the needs of our school community and our trust-wide commitment to equity through education.
