We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), or a person willing to train for this qualification, to support our experienced staff team across Early Years and KS1. You will be expected to cover classes by delivering lessons set by the class teacher as part of regular PPA release, management release or staff absence. You will support all pupils to make their best possible progress, including pupils with an Education Health and Care Plan. This will involve ensuring pupil's safety, supporting pupils to flourish within our curriculum, utilising their academic strengths and interests whilst supporting their social-emotional development and carrying out small group tasks and identified interventions.
The successful applicant will:
* Hold an HLTA qualification or be willing to work towards one and have a secure knowledge of EY and KS1 education.
* Have GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above and ideally have a Level 3 teaching and learning qualification.
* be confident in their understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
* be happy to undertake whole class teaching sessions, have experience working 1:1 with children and carrying out high quality interventions across a wide ability range
* be able to motivate and engage all children
* have experience of supporting children with their learning and development, including tailoring support for children with an EHCP, interaction or communication needs
* be motivated, positive and able to work independently, proactively, and with initiative
* be able to demonstrate high expectations for learning and behaviour, working within the school's policies and procedures.
