Potato Graders needed x 7 candidates needed:
Based in the Norfolk area; initially starting Thetford and Watton areas and then moving later in the season to Syderstone.
Seasonal Role - July to End of November
Working Hours - 6 days per week with 7am starts.
Berry recruitment is currently seeking Potato Graders to work as a team and to support the upcoming harvest season. This is a hands on role - manual handling is required and is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail and team management skills.
Main responsibilities:
* Grading potatoes on a potato grading machine (this will be relocated around Norfolk around 3 times during the season - will start Thetford, then Watton and potentially Syderstone) NOTE THIS GRADER IS STATIONARY AND NOT ON THE BACK OF A TRACTOR SO NO CONCERNS RE MOTION SICKNESS.
* Working as a team of grading staff; ensuring a continual workflow and ensuring that the break times are shared to keep the lines going.
* Ensure standards are met within the grading and that no foreign objects get though during the grading process.
Requirements:
* Must be available July to November (end) including working Saturday and/or Sunday (working 6 days a week)
* Usual start times 7am - flexibility around work days will be needed.
* Own transport advantageous due to varying locations across Norfolk- some lift shares may be available at a cost of £6 per day paid to the driver.
* Must wear relevant PPE - Safety boots and a hi vis, gloves will be provided by the farm
