COATING & REWINDING MACHINE OPERATOR

SALARY: Competitive
HOURS: 8:30am to 5:30pm & during busy periods you will go to a 2 shift rota (6am to 2:30pm and then 2pm to 10pm rotating)
A well-established and innovative manufacturing business within the labelling and packaging sector is seeking a skilled Labels Coating & Rewinding Machine Operator to join its production team in Milton Keynes. Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating coating and rewinding machinery used in the production of labels and related materials. The role requires strong attention to detail, a quality-focused approach, and the ability to work effectively within a production team to meet operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor coating and rewinding machinery to ensure efficient production output.
Apply coatings and finishes to labels in line with quality and production specifications.
Carry out routine quality inspections and identify any defects or inconsistencies.
Prepare machinery, materials, and equipment for daily production schedules.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Support troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance activities where required.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production deadlines and performance targets.
Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.Skills & Experience:
Previous experience within a manufacturing, print, labels, packaging, or production environment preferred.
Experience operating coating, rewinding, or similar machinery would be advantageous.
Good understanding of production processes and quality control standards.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
