About the role
The Ethical Business Analyst will support the development, promotion and oversight of the Group's Ethical Policy and wider ethical business practices, ensuring these are fully aligned with the Group's strategic objectives. The person in post will contribute to the analysis, coordination and communication of activity that strengthens the Group's position as a leader in ethical business, including the creation of high‑quality content and the collation and interpretation of impact measurement data.
The role holder will assist in ensuring the Ethical Policy is well understood and embedded across the organisation, including providing ethical screening support for customers and suppliers. The position will involve horizon scanning to identify emerging trends, contribute insight on reputational and ethical risks, and support research, campaigning and thought leadership that advances the Group's purposeful business agenda.
The person in post will work closely with colleagues across the Sustainability team and wider Group functions, building strong relationships essential to driving forward the Ethical Policy and ethical business priorities. The role may also support colleague and branch engagement processes within the Greater Manchester area.
We operate on a team led hybrid approach with at least two days a week in the Manchester office. Travel to Coventry occasionally may also be required.

Qualifications
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
* Experience in business ethics and application to Financial Services, including those related to human rights, equality and social justice.
* Knowledge of the UK Ethical business sector and the role the financial services sector can play in its growth.
* Experience of governance, risk and compliance related activity.
Helpful experience
* Hold a recognised qualification or accreditation in Sustainability, Social Impact, ESG or a related professional field.
