Role Description
This is a full-time remote Accountant position. The Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of financial tasks including preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role will also require the preparation of budgets, handling tax filings, and providing financial insights to support decision-making processes.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in financial reporting, budget preparation, and financial forecasting
* Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
* Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards
* Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent)
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
* Attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus)
* Prior experience working in the utilities or a similar industry is an advantage
