Unlock your passions @ Inshes Vets
Inshes Vets is a wonderful practice based in Inverness, the Jewel of the Highlands. A beautiful city, not too big or small means there are lots of clubs and sporting events to peak everyone's interests. We have mountains, rivers and beaches all on our doorstep so you can easily enjoy the amazing world-famous Highland scenery. Fancy some Dolphin watching - we've got that too. We have great transport links to UK hubs as well as to Europe. If you fancy a night out, then Eden Court Theatre has visits from many shows and comedians. Combine this with some dining at our excellent local restaurants where local produce is proudly displayed. Highland Life has it all!
We are a team together. We celebrate and commiserate with each other. We work hard but we equally understand time off is needed and sharing the workload and support of our colleagues is vital. We have a weekly Friday meeting as well as our Practice WhatsApp group to keep everyone up to date. We regularly have in house Lunch and Learns as well as Domino’s Pizza Lunches! Currently we have 6.4 FTE vets, 10 vets and 10 Nurses, as well as one certified AVP.
We're armed with cutting edge tools for your success. From in-house lab equipment and Digital DR-X-ray, Dental X-ray, Separate Dental Suite, Endoscopy, Ultrasound, ECG, Laparoscopy for our weekly Lap spays. You'll have the tools to shine.
Step into a supportive start
Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, 5 days a week. Due to the particular needs of the business we need to operate a rota system, therefore there are no normal times of work applicable to you and your daily hours, start and finish times will vary from time to time on a rota system. The rota operates Monday to Friday inclusive. In addition, you will also be required to participate in a weekend rota and out of hours which will require you to get to the practice early. Some house visits may also be required.
We have supported graduates for the past 6 years and so are experienced in supporting and developing graduates successfully. We are a busy workspace with knowledgeable staff that are always around for help and advice when needed. The team enjoy supporting and developing each other but seeing graduates progress in their initial years is very satisfying and enjoyable.
