It would be preferable if the candidate had previous experience in garden, site maintenance or construction and must be aware of both property and health and safety standards. A clean full driving licence would be beneficial for this position. The ideal candidate should be flexible, work constructively with others and be able to resolve maintenance concerns quickly and effectively.. At all time during working hours the candidate will wear a high vis jacket and any safety equipment required for the job undertaken.
The position is part time and ideally suited to someone (possibly a retiree) looking for a few hours work a week (9 hours per week - 9am-12pm Tuesday, 9am-12pm Wednesday and 9am-12pm Thursday).
The candidate will work under the direction of the site Manager.
JOB DUTIES – THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO –
* Carry out garden and site maintenance at Charter Court to ensure the site continues to look presentable all year round.
* Carry out daily morning rounds when requested and report and bring any noticeable details to the attention of their Manager.
* Undertake hedge trimming, lawn mowing, tree cutting, strimming and other duties as and when required.
* Ensure the site is continuously looking clean & presentable ensuring all areas are litter free, bins are not overflowing, facilities are clean and presentable, grounds are safe for visitors and customers.
* Ensure cleaning schedules are completed to a high standard, duties include pressure washing, clearing gutters etc.
* Ensure all site bins are emptied on a regular basis and report any fly tipping, or incidents where waste has not been correctly segregated.
* Respond to reported maintenance issues effectively.
* Comply with all aspects of Health & Safety at Work Act (e.g. COSHH) to assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment, including recording all health and safety checks.
* Ensure routine checks and maintenance is carried out on all machinery.
* Ensure Maintenance container and Tool room is kept locked for safety and security.
* Carry out annual pressure cleaning.
* Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and stored safely.
* Represent Enzyme Research Laboratories and be a positive ambassador of the brand.
* Be punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance.
* Contribute to a positive team environment.
* Presentable and good personal hygiene.
* Respect all equipment and operate in a safe manner, immediately report any faulty equipment to your line manager.
