The role
As an Assistant Indirect Tax Analyst, you’ll be part of our Corporate Services tax team, supporting the delivery of accurate indirect tax compliance across a diverse portfolio.
Day-to-day, you’ll directly enable our people to focus on mission-critical programmes in defence, aerospace and engineering making a meaningful contribution to society while accelerating your own development in a high-performing, purpose-led environment.
1. Review prepared data and returns for VAT, CIS, and PSA to ensure accuracy and compliance.
2. Ensure all indirect tax returns are submitted to deadlines, coordinating inputs across teams and systems.
3. Standardise processes and procedures; develop and maintain clear documentation for the business.
4. Build relationships to raise tax awareness and embed key checks and controls across the organisation.
5. Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen controls around indirect tax compliance.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office and days working from home.
Essential experience of the Assistant Indirect Tax Analyst
6. Experience in a VAT or finance position.
7. Understanding of financial and accounting principles.
8. Desire to develop expertise in indirect tax in an in‑house environment.
9. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using a financial system.
10. Strong analytical and interpretative skills.
