Wood is looking for a TAR Planner to join us to support our clients TAR 2024/2025 scopes on a fixed term basis until September 2025. We can offer PAYE or Fixed Term Staff contract and we offer flexible hybrid working where we can.
1. Responsible for planning and scheduling all activities for Turnarounds and outages.
2. Develop the integrated schedule by assembling the work plans in the scheduling tool (Primavera) according to the Schedule premise.
3. Coordination with numerous other disciplines that impact the Turnaround.
4. Expected to be involved in one major turnaround at a time, or in multiple turnaround of lower complexity.
5. Familiar with the turnaround work process.
6. Responsible for updating schedule during the event.
Turnaround Planning and Execution:
7. To deliver effective Turnaround planning/scheduling for all TA related activities (Maintenance, Operation, project) including:
8. Gathering work packages with detailed information for planning and execution;
9. Liaise with the Integrated Asset Plan and adhere to planning processes
10. Data entry / import of detail job plans and estimates into scheduling tool.
11. Identification, review, and escalation of high-risk activities and communicates key issues and risks to the Turnaround Coordinator and/or Turnaround Event Manager.
12. Implement Turnaround Scheduling Premise document
13. Develop and load schedule logic
14. Development and understanding of critical path and near critical path jobs
15. Resource levelling for the event
16. Where this role covers a partial TA event – work together with lead scheduler to optimize the master schedule.
17. Responsible for schedule quality aspects and completion status
18. Management of Turnaround files and records.
19. Participates in Lessons Learned and Look back process looking for improvements in terms of planning and scheduling.
20. Management of (Scope) Change: Report back on daily schedule and work with Operations, Discipline Engineers and Turnaround/Field Coordinators on changes.
21. Turnaround and IAPS Metrics: Report back on daily schedule /activities to support monitor and reporting of Turnaround KPIs and facilitate discussions within IAPS team on Stability, Readiness and Delivery
22. Turnaround budgets: Support cost management initiative where applicable.
23. Job requires High level of technical knowledge in Planning for all discipline and in Flawless principles
24. Capability to utilised norms for planning and ensure proper control is in place
25. Logic based understanding of the business impact of the workscopes within a shutdown
26. Ability to review all work methods and related job safety analysis
27. To be the Quality Captain for planning and scheduling
28. Ensure buy-in to the plan and schedule by all Key Stakeholders including Process, Engineering, Inspection and Maintenance Departments.
HSSE:
29. To act at all times in accordance with the Policy on Health, Safety and Environment and plan for maintenance activities accordingly. Ensure all HSSE requirements are considered in the Planning and scheduling process.
30. IAPS Process: facilitation of on the job training and coaching to support process adherence and data standards governance in accordance with specific IAPS process.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
31. On the job local system and IAPS process knowledge
32. Proficient in SAP, IMPRESS and PRIMAVERA preferred
Experience of:
33. Previous experience in planning and executing Turnaround
34. Experience and intermediate skill level in scheduling
35. Strong supervisory skills in managing crafts

Minimum Qualifications:
39. P6 training and extensive experience required
