About The Role
As an Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of a stockfunding portfolio within your territory. Your focus will be on:
* New Business Development – generating and converting new dealer relationships
* Account Management – growing utilisation and strengthening existing partnerships
* Risk & Portfolio Control – helping with delinquency, exposure and write-offs
* Vendor & Partner Relationships – maintaining strong connections across your market
*This is a field-based role involving extensive travel within your assigned territory which will be the East of England (from Colchester to Peterborough).
What You’ll Be Doing
* Build and execute an effective sales plan within your postcode territory
* Generate new business through cold calling, referrals and lead follow-up
* Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities
* Achieve monthly targets for applications and utilisation
* Support new customers through contracting and onboarding
* Work cross-functionally across the wider business
* Hold regular meetings with key dealer partners
* Develop structured market routing and territory planning
* Ensure compliance with company policies and audit guidelines
* Proactively manage and minimise delinquency
* Monitor portfolio trends and high-value loan exposures
* Support field collections and collateral repossessions where required
* Work closely with Risk, Recovery and Remarketing teams
* Use internal systems and Salesforce CRM effectively
What We’re Looking For
* We’re looking for someone with a strong balance of “Hunter” and “Farmer” skills:
* Strong account management and relationship-building ability
* Understanding of motor retail stock sources (Cars and LCV)
* Confident negotiator with excellent communication skills
* Highly organised with strong time management
* Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce desirable)
Experience & Background
* Experience in Motor Retail – beneficial
* Sales and portfolio management experience – beneficial
* Finance industry experience – beneficial
