Core Activities:
HV Distribution and Electrical Safety Electrical Generation and Quality of Supply HV and High Power Protection Systems and Earthing Systems HV and High Power Cabling and cable routing High Power Electric Drives and Speed Control Prepare specifications, develop designs in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards, and carry out design appraisals in assigned areas to ensure all standards are maintained. Participate fully in developing, maintaining and modifying engineering processes and procedures in assigned areas in response to technical developments and operational need Act as the main point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters, to resolve relatively complex problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectives. Provide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working and their development.
Job Requirements:
Meet the requirements for registration as Incorporated Engineer with the Engineering Council and preferably be a member of a relevant Professional Body. 5 Years' experience in engineering or a defence related industry. Experience of liaising with external stakeholders. Possesses in-depth knowledge of most aspects within current discipline. Ability to coach, mentor & assist others. Good people management skills and experienced in a multi-disciplined engineering environment.
