Small Animal Practice. Salary up to £60,000 DOE. Located near Cardiff city centre
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Cardiff Bay Vets for Pets.
Our well-equipped practice includes 3 consulting rooms, x-ray, ultrasound, bronchoscope, in-house blood machine (including clotting times), microscope, surgery kit (including some orthopaedic equipment), electrocautery, suction machine, separate dog and cat wards, and a mobile CT scanner that visits every 4 weeks.
Our team comprises a new graduate vet (qualified in August), a Practice Manager/RVN with 13 years of experience, a Head RVN with 11 years, and RVN and SVN team members with 2-9 years of experience. Our front of house staff average 3-4 years. We pride ourselves on providing a happy, supportive, and fun working environment, along with the highest standard of care for pets and clients.
We are a busy practice handling a wide range of cases, with a strong focus on patient and client experience. Our cases include surgical and medical treatments, from vaccines to hospitalized inpatients. Orthopaedic and large soft tissue surgeries are performed by a visiting vet surgeon (RATA).
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon comfortable with sole charge, working 40 hours per week. The role involves 1 in 3 Saturdays, with no OOH. We offer flexible hours to accommodate childcare and other commitments.
