Job Advert: Finance Assistant
Location: Widnes Reports to: Senior Financial Controller Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Are you detail-oriented, organised, and looking to take the next step in your finance career? We're seeking a Finance Assistant to support our Senior Financial Controller and help manage the day-to-day financial activities of the company. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the finance function across a range of key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise daily with the Financial Controller to plan workload and requirements.
Raise relevant sales invoices and check supporting documentation.
Process purchase ledger invoices, matching them with appropriate documentation.
Review and verify invoices for quantities received, pricing, and discounts.
Resolve discrepancies or billing issues by liaising with internal departments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Maintain credit control records, including limits and payments, and liaise with customers.
Accurately input financial data into the MPI and accounting systems.
Organise and manage filing systems for financial documents.
