This is a chance to make a significant impact within a dynamic and collaborative environment, leveraging Citis extensive franchise and distribution network. You will play a key role in pricing and trading a diverse range of equity forward products, contributing directly to the desks revenue growth and further solidifying Citis position in the market.
This role offers exceptional growth potential, providing the opportunity to manage your own book and P&L. You will gain exposure to sophisticated trading strategies, cutting-edge technology, and a network of industry experts. If you are a driven individual with a passion for financial markets and a proven track record in trading, this is an ideal opportunity to advance your career within a world-class financial institution.
What you will do will be varied day to day, but the key drivers for the role are:
* Price and execute equity forward trades and other delta one instruments, ensuring optimal execution and minimizing market impact while focusing on achieving a delta of one to replicate the performance of underlying equity indices or baskets.
* Manage the portfolios delta risk using dynamic hedging strategies with underlying index futures, ETFs, or single stock components, continuously monitoring and adjusting hedges to maintain a delta-neutral position.
* Manage financing costs for long and short positions and accurately incorporate dividend payments from underlying index constituents into pricing and hedging strategies.
* Handle complex corporate actions impacting underlying indices or baskets, ensuring proper adjustments to forward contracts and hedging positions.
* Collaborate with Sales and structuring teams to understand client needs and tailor delta one solutions for their hedging or investment objectives.
* Implement and monitor risk management strategies, including gamma and vega management, and conduct stress tests to assess portfolio resilience.
* Analyze market conditions, news flow, and macroeconomic factors to identify trading opportunities and inform pricing decisions.
* Contribute to developing and enhancing trading systems and quantitative models for pricing, hedging, and risk management.
What we will need from you:
* Demonstrate a history of successful trading book management or close collaboration with a trading team (this is not an entry-level position).
* Possess a deep understanding of equity derivatives, particularly forwards and swaps, focusing on delta one strategies.
* Have strong analytical and quantitative abilities to price complex instruments, manage risk, and develop trading strategies.
* Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
* Maintain a strong understanding of Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocol, and closing procedures.
* Proficiency in Python, VBA, Bloomberg, and Excel is highly desirable.
What we will provide you:
By joining Citi London, you will not only be part of a business casual workplace with a hybrid working model but also receive a competitive base salary, and enjoy a whole host of additional benefits such as:
* 27 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
* A discretional annual performance related bonus
* Private Medical Care & Life Insurance
* Employee Assistance Program
* Pension Plan
* Paid Parental Leave
* Special discounts for employees, family, and friends
* Access to an array of learning and development resources
Alongside these benefits Citi is committed to ensuring our workplace is where everyone feels comfortable coming to work as their whole self, every day. We want the best talent around the world to be energized to join us, motivated to stay, and empowered to thrive.
