TXM Recruit are recruiting 2 x Engineering Quality Inspectors on a temporary to Permanent basis. Location: Based in Doncaster for training until around October/November 2026, then you will transfer to Barton Under Needwood full time. Hourly Rate / Salary: Competitive Shifts: Monday – Thursday 06.00 – 14.10. Friday 06.00 – 11.50. 37.5 hours per week. Start date: ASAP Job Summary The Engineering Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that manufactured products, components, and processes meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves inspecting materials and products, reviewing technical drawings, identifying defects, and working closely with engineering and production teams to drive continuous quality improvement. Key Responsibilities * Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products for compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards * Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications * Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMMs, gauges, etc.) * Identify, document, and report defects or non-conformances * Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records * Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) * Work with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve quality issues * Verify corrective actions and monitor ongoing compliance * Assist with audits (internal, customer, and regulatory) * Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, ASTM, or other applicable standards Required Qualifications * Time Served Quality Inspector with a minimum of 2 years’ experience OR, * Diploma or associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience) * Proven experience in quality inspection or quality assurance in an engineering or manufacturing environment * Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications * Knowledge of quality systems and inspection methodologies * Familiarity with precision measurement tools and inspection equipment * Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting Preferred Qualifications * Certification in Quality Inspection (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector – CQI) * Experience with CMM programming or advanced inspection tools * Knowledge of ISO 9001 or industry-specific quality standards * Experience in industries such as aerospace, automotive, or heavy engineering Key Skills & Competencies * Strong attention to detail * Analytical and problem-solving skills * Clear written and verbal communication * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Time management and organizational skills * Continuous improvement mindset Working Conditions * Manufacturing or production environment * May require standing for extended periods * Use of PPE as required
