We are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join our clients experienced field service team, supporting customers across the North of the UK, with occasional travel further afield and overnight stays. This is a field-based role covering the North of England, ideal for an engineer with a precision/mechanical background who thrives on working independently and enjoys delivering outstanding customer service on-site. Opportunities for personal development and career progression. Key Responsibilities of a Service Engineer Represent the client at customer premises with professionalism and technical expertise. Install measuring equipment across customer sites. Service, calibrate, and repair high-accuracy systems. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults. Key Requirements of a Service Engineer HNC/BTEC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, or relevant industry experience. Full, valid UK driving license. Strong communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail. Good IT literacy (MS Office, system tools, diagnostics software). Desirable Attributes Background in precision/mechanical engineering. Practical, hands-on experience with mechanical systems. Experience in fault-finding and using electrical test equipment. Completion of a technical apprenticeship, or a BTEC including electrical modules. Strong time management and interpersonal skills. Looking for long-term career stability and consistency.
