This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role with constant interaction with traders, risk-takers and senior stakeholders, and strong potential for progression.
Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Trade capture, booking and allocation across cash and derivatives products.
* Monitoring and reconciling positions, P&L and risk across multiple systems.
* Investigating and resolving trade breaks and discrepancies with Operations, Prime Brokers and counterparties.
* Producing and enhancing daily trade, P&L and risk reports for PMs and senior management.
* Assisting with new product and market onboarding.
* Maintaining static data and ensuring the integrity of reference data.
* Contributing to market commentary and ad-hoc analysis.
* Continually reviewing and improving processes, including helping to automate and streamline workflows in partnership with technology teams.
What we are looking for:
* Strong track record in a Trading Assistant, Middle Office or similar trade support role within a leading hedge fund, asset manager or tier-one investment bank.
* Solid understanding of financial markets and macro products, ideally with exposure to Fixed Income and derivatives.
* Confidence working closely with traders and PMs in a time-sensitive environment; strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach to controls.
* Ability to prioritise effectively, manage competing deadlines and take ownership of tasks.
* Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a genuine interest in getting closer to the trading and risk-taking side of the business.
Given the highly selective nature of the fund and the calibre of the existing team, only candidates with a 2:1 degree (or above) from a Russell Group University (or international equivalent) and a minimum of AAA at A-level (or international equivalent) can be considered. Relevant front-office facing experience in a demanding, high-performance environment is a must have.
