Placed by Leon is partnering with one of the most respected watch brands in the world on an exceptional leadership opportunity within a luxury department store. We are supporting them in the search for an Assistant Boutique Manager, a role suited to someone with strong people leadership, luxury expertise and a passion for delivering an elevated client experience.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Boutique Director in delivering an exceptional client and employee experience.
* Lead and inspire a high-performing team of 7, nurturing talent and strong team cohesion.
* Build and maintain relationships with high-value clients and VIP prospects.
* Drive CRM and clienteling activity; oversee outreach, events, and networking.
* Participate in boutique events and represent the brand at internal and external functions.
* Support commercial performance through analysis, target setting, and strategic action.
* Manage boutique operations with precision, upholding brand standards at all times.
* Oversee administrative duties, reporting, and local client-trend analysis.
* Maintain presentation excellence and support the adoption of new tools and systems.
* Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance development.
Requirements
* Minimum 4+ years of luxury retail management (watches or high-value luxury preferred).
* Strong leadership experience with a proven ability to develop and motivate teams.
* Deep understanding of luxury clients, service expectations, and the Harrods environment.
* Strong commercial awareness with experience contributing to business performance.
* Confident in clienteling strategy, CRM practices, VIP engagement, and networking.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
* Calm, professional communicator with strong emotional intelligence.
* Self-starter with a collaborative, servant-leadership approach.
* Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and evenings.
* Strong computer literacy; SAP knowledge is a plus.
* High watchmaking knowledge preferred but not essential.
