The College of Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Medicine (CSEM) is entering an exciting new chapter, bringing together two established organisations into one unified voice for the sector. This is a rare opportunity to join at a pivotal moment. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll play a central role in building a high-performing, modern organisation, driving operational excellence, strengthening governance, and delivering a seamless member experience.
Key responsibilities
* Lead operational strategy, governance and organisational performance
* Oversee systems (CRM, website, data platforms) and drive digital improvement
* Provide strategic oversight of communications and brand
* Manage suppliers, contracts and key partnerships
* Lead risk, compliance (including GDPR) and Board reporting
* Develop and lead Operations, Membership and Communications teams
* Drive organisational change, integration and continuous improvement
What we’re looking for
* Senior experience in operations and/or governance (membership body, charity or similar)
* Strong understanding of governance, risk and compliance
* Experience with CRM systems and membership services
* Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Knowledge of GDPR and data protection
CSEM offers a flexible, hybrid working environment with teams based across Edinburgh and Doncaster, and UK-wide engagement. Travel expenses are covered.
