We are looking for an accomplished MEP Director to join us. You will be working in a broad remit across operational & strategic leadership, business development, line management and project delivery. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our MEP technical offering, driving growth and delivering high quality performance on many of the UK’s key infrastructure programmes.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
1. Define and implement strategies for the growth of the Infrastructure MEP discipline, aligning with business objectives and market opportunities.
2. Collaborate with global hubs and multidisciplinary teams to enhance technical capabilities and deliver innovative solutions.
3. Support the Head of Discipline in setting goals and facilitating the rapid expansion across transportation, energy, water, and renewables sectors.
4. Business Development
5. Forge and maintain constructive client relationships, acting as a trusted consultant and primary representative.
6. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to bids, tenders, and work-winning strategies.
7. Promote our expertise in MEP design and delivery to enhance market presence and secure major infrastructure projects.
8. Project Leadership
9. Oversee the delivery of complex MEP design projects from feasibility through detailed design and site supervision, ensuring compliance with standards, codes, and regulations.
10. Guide technical approaches to solve challenging engineering problems, introducing innovative and sustainable solutions.
11. Manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, promoting continuous improvement and digital ways of working.

13. Line manage and mentor a growing team of engineers, supporting professional development and chartership.
14. Encourage a culture of collaboration and productivity, inspiring teams to perform at their best.
15. Identify skills gaps and implement development plans to enhance capability across the discipline.

On top of that, you’ll :
16. Be a Chartered Engineer or have an equivalent professional qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Project Management.
17. Have extensive experience in major infrastructure projects with significant MEP components, ideally within a consultancy environment.
18. Demonstrate significant ability in:
Leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex design projects.
Strategic business growth and operational leadership.
19. Be experienced in Work-winning and client relationship management.
20. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and inspire teams.
21. Have familiarity with BIM implementation and digital engineering practices.
22. Show willingness to travel as required for project needs.
