A vacancy has arisen for a Mobile Plant Operator to join the Ash Handling based at West Burton Power Station.
This role requires the operation of various types of mobile plant around site to extract, process and load ash for outbound sales. Other duties will include general maintenance and housekeeping around the site.
The role briefly encompasses the following:
All HIS and EDF working and safety procedures must be followed at all times, working safely at all times is paramount.
Maintaining a positive working relationship with the client and customers at all times.
Extract, process and load ash at West Burton Power Station in a safe and efficient manner and in line with site procedures.
General maintenance and housekeeping duties.
Loading of external trains may be required in the future.
Always wear, at all times the appropriate PPE. (E.g. Helmet, Hi Vis, Safety Glasses, Gloves, Safety Boots, special items as required depending on job spec)
Pre-start vehicle check completed, documented and reported at the start of every shift.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness standard in the Mobile Plant (Clean cabs, windows, mirrors etc)
Perform Greasing of all operational areas as required on the Plant.
Report any defects during the operation to Mobile Plant Supervisor / Site Supervisor
Operate the Mobile Plant following the safe working procedures, method statements and risk assessments in place at all times
Follow, promote and report any activity that deviates site operational rules. (e.g. speeding, crossings etc) Maintain a hygienic mess room and staff area.
General duties, cleaning of vehicle and remedial maintenance.
Complete any other reasonable tasks or requests as required, in order to meet KPIs.
Undertake training as and when required.
Ensure all H&S measures are in place and completed, such as hazard reports and take 2 etc

Must be able to populate, use and keep documented records as part of the role
