Position Overview
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) for a long-term position supporting children in Key Stage 1 (KS1). This role is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant who can confidently support classroom activities independently, while working closely with the class teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support children both in small groups and whole-class settings
Take initiative to manage classroom situations independently
Collaborate with the class teacher to enhance pupils’ learning experiences
Person Specification
The successful candidate will possess:
A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or at least six months’ experience working with children in an educational setting
Excellent verbal communication skills
The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Strong teamwork skills and a genuine commitment to contributing to the school community
A proactive approach to managing and responding to classroom needs
A passion for supporting and encouraging children’s learning and development
