My client is hiring a Procurement Assistant to come in and play a key role in the efficient functioning of their procurement operations.
This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a keen interest in supply chain management.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies
* Prepare and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures
* Maintain and update supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc
* Manage inventory and maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
* Review and analyse all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Procurement Assistant or in a similar role
* Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
* A knack for negotiation and networking
* Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures
