PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This 12-18 month maternity cover role which sits at the heart of East West Connect's Finance Department. The Senior Finance Manager will play a key leadership role, providing financial guidance and assurance to the Board of Directors, Senior Leadership Team and wider business. This is not just about numbers – it's about shaping decisions, driving improvements, and ensuring EWC remains financially strong, compliant, and forward-thinking.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Lead the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely production of financial and management accounts.
* Support the Finance Director in developing and delivering the company's finance strategy.
* Oversee cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
* Liaise with auditors to manage the annual audit process and statutory obligations.
* Provide insightful commentary to senior management on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
* Ensure robust debtor and creditor management processes are in place and effective.
* Mentor and develop finance team members, supporting skills growth and succession planning.
* Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and reporting.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Person Specification)
Essential Skills and Qualities
* Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* 5+ years of progressive finance experience, with proven team management.
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
* Advanced Excel skills and strong financial software/ERP experience (ideally 4PS).
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to partner senior stakeholders.
* Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with high levels of integrity and reliability.

Pay: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
