The Nook School supports up to 10 students aged 11–18 and delivers a broad and balanced curriculum in line with the national curriculum. At KS4, students can study ASDAN, Functional Skills, and GCSEs for those working at higher academic levels.

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our close-knit team.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with small pupil groups across both academic and vocational subjects and who shares our passion for supporting young people with additional needs. You’ll bring patience, creativity, and a flexible approach to learning, helping pupils to achieve their best outcomes.
The successful candidate will:
1. Have a strong understanding of learners with additional needs.
2. Support the development and delivery of high-quality, bespoke education.
3. Work closely with teachers, professionals, and care staff to provide a holistic package of support.
4. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant
5. Experience supporting students with SEMH needs or in a secondary school setting

*This post is a linked to funding role and as such your contract will come to an end when the funding comes to an end for your position. The estimated date of this is July 2030 however you should be notified in advance if there are any changes to this date.
