Overview
The Community Care Worker plays a vital role in supporting individuals within the community to lead fulfilling lives. Duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients in meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
* Help clients manage their medications and attend medical appointments.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
* Facilitate social activities and encourage participation in community events.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the supervising staff.
* Mentor and supervise junior staff or volunteers as required, fostering a supportive environment for growth and development.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of clients and work schedules.
* A valid driving licence may be advantageous for community outreach roles.
