About you Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role, ideally within construction, maintenance, or public-sector environments Membership of IOSH or working towards it Proven experience conducting audits, site inspections, and incident investigations Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance requirements Full driving licence and access to transport for site visits Excellent report-writing, IT skills, and attention to detail What you'll do Develop, review, and implement health & safety policies and procedures across operational sites Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure site safety Produce reports, corrective actions, and monitor follow-up measures Deliver health & safety training sessions and promote awareness among staff and contractors Support risk assessments, including COSHH, manual handling, DSE, and general risk management Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare reports, and contribute to RIDDOR submissions Provide professional advice on health & safety legislation and best practices Liaise with internal teams, external agencies, and regulatory bodies Attend meetings and provide expert input on safety matters For further information on this job, apply via the link or contact the VANRATH office for a confidential chat today.
