* Monday – Thursday: 7:50am – 4:50pm
* Friday: 7:50am – 1:50pm
* No weekend work
Job Overview A well-established manufacturing business is currently seeking an experienced Wood Machinist to join their production team. The role involves producing furniture components and finished pieces, working from technical drawings and using a variety of woodworking machinery. Key Responsibilities
* Working from technical drawings and specifications to produce a wide range of furniture components and finished pieces
* Operating both hand tools and woodworking machinery, including band saws, planers, spindle moulders, and sanders
* Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber and other materials with precision
* Assembling finished furniture and carrying out quality checks, identifying and addressing any issues
* Ensuring high-quality standards and attention to detail at all stages of production
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop
* Always adhering to all health and safety regulations
Requirements
* Previous wood machining experience is essential
* Experience using band saws and similar woodworking machinery
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings
* Strong attention to detail and quality
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
