In this BESS Field Service Engineer role, your key responsibilities will involve:
* Nurture System Reliability: Conduct and support routine preventive and corrective maintenance for Battery Storage Systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
* Prioritize Wellbeing & Safety: Uphold site-specific Health and Safety standards, collaborating with internal teams to draft and review comprehensive RAMS and safe working procedures.
* Coordinate Collaborative Works: Supervise subcontractors and third-party partners, ensuring all site activities are conducted with a focus on quality, compliance, and mutual respect.
* Support Technical Evolution: Assist during system commissioning, upgrades, and major repairs, providing essential diagnostic insight using specialized tools and test equipment.
* Facilitate Knowledge Sharing: Review maintenance manuals and support the drafting of annual project plans and procedures to ensure the team is well-prepared for all operational needs.
To be successful in this BESS Field Service Engineer position, you will need solid experience with the operation and maintenance of Energy Storage/BESS Projects, Renewables or Power Sector industry. Specifically, we are looking for candidates with:
* Foundational Expertise: Holds a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, supported by at least 2 years of experience in the BESS, Renewables, or Power sector.
* Technical Understanding: A strong grasp of LV systems, Inverters, and Energy Management Systems, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and finding thoughtful solutions.
* Safety & Compliance Mindset: Working knowledge of UK HSE regulations and eligibility for an ECS/CSCS card, demonstrating a commitment to safe working practices.
* Communication & Organization: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse stakeholders and OEM suppliers.
* Flexibility & Mobility: Possession of a full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel to project sites, with the flexibility to support the team during occasional urgent out-of-hours needs.
