Infrastructure Support Analyst
Location: Tiverton, Devon
Contract: Full Time
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure and support engineer required to join a small team that are transitioning the IT systems of the organisation, embracing modern workplace technologies, and adopting new methods and practises.
Key Objectives
The postholder will support modernising every aspect of the IT estate from technology to process. They will be instrumental in guiding the implementation, selection of technology and ultimately providing the technical expertise to fulfil the requirement.
You will be supporting a Wintel based on premises infrastructure with an overall strategy of ‘serverless computing’ with cloud based technologies forming the future of the infrastructure. Analysing this existing infrastructure and suggesting/researching improvements that align with the overall strategy, ensuring cybersecurity objectives are met along the way.
You will be required to assist the support desk team with end user support escalations and be a key player in redefining how IT services are delivered and supported.
You will be monitoring and maintaining all aspects of the infrastructure, so experience of preventive maintenance and predictive failure analysis will be required.

Skills
- IT Helpdesk and end user support experience
- Microsoft 365 Administration: User and License, SharePoint, Exchange
- Microsoft Cloud technologies: Intune (Autopilot deployments), Entra (apps, security & governance incl. MFA and Conditional access), Defender, Azure
- Windows Server 2016-2019
- Server hardware (servers/storage)
- Active Directory
- Hyper‑V
- Familiar with firewall configuration fundamentals
- Experience of backup methodologies and management
Summary Of Daily Duties
- Undertake project related tasks designed to improve and support the IT estate.
- Participate in change management activities to ensure services are delivered in a coordinated and supported manner.
- Assist IT support team with escalations related to IT systems outside their remit. Producing documentation as required to assist with and improve their workflows and those of the wider company.
- Support end user movement activities (starter / mover / leaver). Include device and account provision.
Hours Of Work
Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm. 1-hour lunch. 35 hours per week.
