Only staff currently employed by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board will be considered for this role. This is an opportunity for a Health Care Support Worker to join Bryn Hesketh Ward, a dementia assessment ward with links to the CMHT.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, though Welsh and/or English speakers are all welcome to apply.

Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will work as part of the nursing team delivering evidence‑based high‑quality clinical care focused on the direct needs of patients. The post holder will assist registered nurses and practitioners in delegated care, provide holistic care in collaboration with other disciplines, and work independently and as part of a team, supervising patients and assisting with future care plans.

Person Specification
Qualifications And/or Knowledge
Essential criteria:
* NVQ Level 3 or working towards level 3 to be achieved within 18 months of appointment and relevant experience in working with people with Dementia.
Experience
Essential criteria:
* Previous experience within the health care sector or specifically in a Mental Health care setting.
Aptitude And Abilities
Essential criteria:
* Understanding of risk management and health & Safety issues.
* Understanding of patient confidentiality.
Values
Essential criteria:
* Ability to work within a team and demonstrate the ability to care with warmth and understanding.
* Be a team player.
Other
Essential criteria:
* Fitness and willingness to use de‑escalation techniques and, where required, safe handling and breakaway techniques (as appropriate) subject to relevant training according to BCUHB Policy.
