The Securities & Derivatives Senior Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to process orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement business initiatives, client solutions, or projects affiliated with securities and derivatives settlement
2. Solve complex inquiries, conduct discovery and complete due diligence activities for client requests
3. Provide detailed analysis of escalated issues when necessary and recommend actions for resolution
4. Contribute to processing standards and expectations for securities and derivatives processing teams
5. Develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures that offer solutions and cost saving opportunities
6. Manage daily performance related to securities and derivatives post-settlement activities of operations processes
7. Propose solutions to implement settlement process improvements, client service enhancements, or overall technology enhancements
8. Act as an advisor to new/junior staff
Qualifications:
9. University degree preferred
10. Relevant experience (Markets/Settlements/ Middle Office preffered)
11. Required licensing/registration: Series 99
12. People management experience
13. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
