PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide cover for various students/small groups in absence of teachers.
To prepare and deliver PSHE curriculum to small groups (following National Curriculum guidelines)
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* To cover for a teacher who is absent- delivering various subjects. This may include planning lessons with advance notice.
· To prepare and deliver PSHE curriculum to small groups (following National Curriculum guidelines)
* To be responsible for arranging cover between departments where appropriate and practicable to ensure that all lessons are covered or alternative arrangements made.
* To reinforce lessons presented by the classroom teacher, by reviewing material with students individually or in groups.
* To provide additional learning support to students and staff.
* To develop learning programs for individual needs and differentiate appropriate materials accordingly to their needs.
* To monitor and support the social and emotional needs of students.
* To help teachers prepare for lessons by getting materials ready, setting up equipment and arranging the classroom activities.
* To create displays of the students' work and other classroom displays.
* To provide feedback on the student's progress and development.
* To supervise students in class, in between classes and during social time.
* To help with exam invigilation, school events (in and out of school hours), e.g. trips and visits.
· Establish a rapport and respectful, trusting relationships with Northleigh students, interacting with them according to their individual needs.
· Promote young people's self-confidence, self-esteem, and independence.
· Develop an understanding of each individual needs and to undertake record keeping as required.

· To contribute to Parents Evening and end of term Report Writing.
· To attend and participate in relevant meetings as required, which may be after school.
· Ability to create the best conditions for learning or teaching new things.
· Be able to adapt to changes within processes, tools, equipment, and technology.
· To undertake any other tasks as directed by the Senior Management Team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
Work Location: In person
