Key Responsibilities in Commercial Property Law Take responsibility for a wide-ranging caseload of commercial property transactions, including landlord and tenant matters, site acquisitions and disposals, investment transactions, and property finance. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, agreements for lease, contracts for sale, licences, and a variety of real estate documentation in accordance with current UK legal standards. Deliver expert, pragmatic legal advice to developers, investors, landlords, tenants, business owners, and commercial occupiers at all stages of the transaction. Conduct detailed due diligence—investigating title, reviewing searches, reporting to clients and lenders, and resolving any legal or procedural issues that arise. Liaise proactively with clients, agents, lenders, solicitors, surveyors, and other third parties to progress and finalise property transactions efficiently. Ensure strict compliance with regulatory frameworks, including SRA, AML, and GDPR requirements, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on the case management system. Proactively identify and manage legal risks, providing practical and commercially sound solutions tailored to clients’ objectives. Essential Skills and Experience for Commercial Property Solicitors Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with proven experience handling a broad range of commercial property matters independently within private practice. Comprehensive knowledge of UK commercial property law, including landlord and tenant law, transactional work, and site development. Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities, ensuring the provision of commercially-driven legal guidance. Demonstrable organisational skills, able to manage a dynamic workload and meet multiple deadlines.
