We are hiring an Account Handler to manage a portfolio of approximately 400 clients in funeral care insurance. The role involves handling inquiries, renewals, adjustments, invoicing, and promoting additional products. This is a full-time, permanent role with the flexibility to work 2-3 days per week from our Croydon office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Achieve client retention targets through excellent service.
* Coordinate with the Account Executive on renewal strategies and attend client meetings.
* Conduct market exercises for competitive terms.
* Present renewal terms and issue documentation in line with contracts.
* Ensure premiums are collected before coverage begins.
* Record all client interactions and documentation accurately.
* Process policy adjustments and communicate with insurers.
* Cross-sell products from other divisions.
Knowledge & Skills:
* Solid understanding of General Insurance, CII’s Code of Ethics, and GDPR.
* Minimum 2 years’ industry experience, with Motor Fleet and Commercial Combined expertise.
* Technical insurance skills, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
* Strong client service, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
* Ability to analyze information and adapt communication to client understanding.
Qualifications:
* GCSEs A-C in Maths & English.
* Cert CII (desirable).
* Acturis experience (desirable).
