Sign-on Bonus
For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for those with more than 2 years of RN work experience!
* Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a full or part-time RN position. Bonus amount is prorated for part-time hires. Per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation.
Position Summary
Shift: Night Shift
The Registered Nurse - Acute Care provides high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. The role involves collaboration, delegation, and communication with healthcare team members to ensure optimal care.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
2. Licensure/Certification: Current applicable state license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date. ICU, SCU, ED, and PACU RNs require ACLS and PALS certifications within one year of start date or per department guidelines. OB and NICU RNs require NRP certification within one year or per department guidelines.
3. Experience: One year of recent RN experience preferred.
4. Additional Skills/Requirements: Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency required for RNs assisting laboring women.
