We are seeking a Fundraising Volunteer to support us in writing funding proposals, completing funding applications to trusts and foundations, and contacting corporates for sponsorships for events and one-off projects. This role aims to bring our vision into reality and fund the impactful work we do. You can work remotely or from our charity based in Barnet, North London, to help raise funds for our events and organization in the long term.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Researching and approaching corporate entities, both national and international, for event sponsorships, partnerships, and donations from corporate foundations.
2. Writing and delivering compelling presentations and proposals for funding to trusts, foundations, and other institutions.
3. Communicating with potential partners over email and phone about the work of Strength and Learning Through Horses to secure funding for the charity.
You will have the following skills and experience:
1. Good written and oral communication skills.
2. Experience in writing funding proposals and in fundraising would be advantageous.
3. Knowledge of corporate fundraising techniques such as Charity of the Year, sponsorship, donations, and marketing would be advantageous.
4. Ability to present and engage potential partners and sponsors compellingly.
We seek a motivated and talented volunteer to support us in this role. Working with a small team, you will assist with corporate, major donor, and other fundraising activities, supporting Rosie Bensley and the organization.
The ideal candidate should have good written communication skills. Experience in writing funding proposals is desirable but not essential. The most important quality is motivation to help us raise funds to positively impact young people's lives.
