About the Role
Our Transmission & Distribution unit is recruiting a Senior BIM Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role within the Transmission & Distribution team, working on major projects.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the delivery of projects from planning to construction stage.
* Have thorough knowledge of Autodesk Revit to support design engineers in delivering building projects to our clients.
* Undertake modelling, drawing, and detailing of all elements of building structures.
* Produce high quality and complex 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Revit, incorporate, manipulate, and interrogate 3D point cloud data.
* Produce structural details for steelwork, concrete, masonry and common building elements within the context of building structures.
* Work within common data environments in accordance with BIM Execution Plans and IDP.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate issue resolution.
Candidate Specification
* Experience in the civil and structural engineering sectors.
* Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit; ability to produce 2D drawings and 3D models with minimal supervision.
* Strong interest in 3D design, modelling and creating immersive models.
* Experience in typical structural detailing and in the management and control of project drawing lists and registers.
* Ability to work closely with project structural engineers and architects.
* Enthusiasm to learn new skills and embrace new technologies and software.
* Able to effectively manage workload in a busy and dynamic environment; willing to take ownership of issues and work autonomously to find solutions.
* Mentor and develop junior staff.
