Trainee Phlebotomist – Full Training Provided! – Northern Ireland – 18 month contract
Responsibilities
* You will be required to work 4 x 10-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours per week. Shifts can fall between 6am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday, with allocation by the resource planner three weeks in advance.
* You may need to drive up to 2 hours to reach your venue, or use public transport depending on the venue type.
* Work across multiple clinic venues within the region; you will be expected to adapt to new venues during each shift while maintaining high quality standards.
* Plan your route each day, travel to your allocated venue, set up your kit, greet customers, and manage a day with approximately 15 to 22 customers. Appointments range from 10 to 45 minutes depending on package and assessments chosen.
* Perform health assessments aligned with customer packages, including but not limited to: PAD, ECG, Phlebotomy (on qualification), Lung Function, Body Composition, and short fitness tests. Provide appropriate advice on further testing where suitable and maintain all relevant administration records.
* After assessments, you will not relay results or lifestyle advice to customers (per role specification).
Requirements
* A Full UK Driving Licence with access to your own car to transport your kit to venues and to store kit items at home when not in use.
* Ability to work any days between Monday and Sunday and any times between 6am and 10pm on a rota basis (shifts typically 6am–4pm, 8am–6pm, or 1pm–10pm).
* Proficiency with computers/laptops/phones/tablets to a satisfactory level.
* Clear DBS – to be processed on your behalf.
* Willingness to travel up to 2 hours from your home location and occasional overnight stays if required.
* Living within the appropriate distance of the regional location of the role.
* Ability to attend our Milton Keynes head office for the first 2 weeks of training (Monday–Friday, staying in Milton Keynes).
* Demonstrated willingness to learn and take on new skills.
* Please note: onboarding requires a satisfactory enhanced criminal records check (covered by us).
* All roles require a satisfactory criminal record check as part of onboarding.
