To share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of residents in a way that respects and promotes their dignity and independence.
Assist residents who need help with dressing, undressing, bathing and toileting
Support residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities in areas such as incontinence; and encourage in the care and use of mobility aids and personal equipment
Support residents who may have a cognitive impairment such as dementia
Support and encourage the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through talking with them, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations
Make and change beds; tidy rooms and do light cleaning
Report concerns
Serve meals; assist care users at meal times if required;
We are looking for natural carers who are team players and will welcome all genuine applications.
Experience in the sector is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home setting
- Ability to create and implement care plans effectively
- Strong English language skills
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
