Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your primary role is to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring a positive and safe environment for all. Your responsibilities include monitoring resident wellbeing, being proactive in updating care plans, and being actively involved in the person-centred care planning process. You will also support residents with their medication, undertake staff supervisions, and act as a key contact for residents and their families. The role demands compassion, dedication, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Job responsibilities
* Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
* Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
* Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
* Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.
About you

* Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.
* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
Disclosures and requirements
* A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
