Supplier Quality Engineer
Plymouth, commutable from: Yelverton, Tavistock, Ivybridge, Saltash
Up to £45,000 per annum DOE + Monthly & Yearly Bonus + Life Insurance + Pension 33 Days Holiday + Early Finish on Friday
Excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer for an immediately available contract role working for a market-leading, international company.
The company are a well-established, highly revered manufacturing company in the Plymouth area with sites across the world that not only are renowned for the quality of their products but also for being a leading and progressive employer within the area. Due to growth, they are currently looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the team.
The person will come from a Quality Engineering background and have knowledge of a variety of processes within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
Responsibilities
* PPAP, ensure appropriate controls are in place e.g. Inspection plans, SPC etc
* When required, work with commodity buyers to find and approve new suppliers
* Liaising directly with suppliers to overcome problems
* Supplier audits (both on site and remotely)
* Parts rejection process
* Supplier visits
* Managing customer compliance
* Implement root cause analysis and preventive action
Salary range: £34,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

The person
* Diploma in Quality Management, Professional Certificate in Quality Management or Level 4 Certificate in Quality Assurance
* Experience with Lean manufacturing tools - 8D, Six Sigma, Kaizen etc
