Job overview
Applications are invited for the Advanced Clinical Speciality Fellowship in Haematology, offering a unique opportunity to work within a large, dynamic trials unit focusing on haematology patients. This is a fixed-term post on the Haematology Trials Unit at the Department of Oncology and Haematology.

Responsibilities include managing patients receiving advanced medicinal therapies, including cellular therapies and complex treatment combinations. Essential experience includes senior clinical specialty training in haematology or oncology, a PhD/DPhil, and managing acute complications of advanced treatments. The training emphasizes designing, establishing, and executing clinical trials, including grant applications and research publications. This position is intended for candidates with advanced clinical experience aiming for roles such as Consultant or Senior Clinical Research Fellow.
Main duties
The post holder will manage patients with haematological malignancies within the Trials Unit, develop research projects in clinical trials and translational science, and focus on designing and conducting clinical research. The role begins in October.
Candidates should contact Professor Paresh Vyas, Professor of Haematology and Honorary Consultant Haematologist, or Dr Toby Eyre, Consultant Haematologist, for further details. Applications are to be submitted via NHS Jobs, with all applicants filling out the standard application form for equal opportunity considerations.
