Beaconside Sports and Fitness is one of the most popular sports and fitness venues in Stafford. Situated on Weston Road in Stafford, the centre offers range of facilities including a fully-equipped gym, floodlit Astroturf pitches, 3G 5 a side pitches, fitness studio and sports hall.
About the role:
You will deliver a first-class service, interacting with visitors and members, selling and processing memberships, responding to email and telephone enquiries, ensuring the Centre is well presented, setting up areas for sports usage and managing the booking system. Experience in Customer Service is essential.
Key responsibilities:
* First point of contact for customers and visitors to the Sport & Fitness Centre, greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
* Promote, process and advise on memberships.
* Ensure a high level of customer service and effective response to all enquiries.
* Respond to queries via email, phone or in person.
* Manage and provide advice on the bookings and ensure that all bookings are logged onto the booking system.
* Conduct basic gym inductions for new customers
* Cash handling duties, include cashing-up at the end of a shift.
* Ensure correct hand-over of the day's business to colleagues working the next shift, making sure that colleagues are fully briefed about issues that may affect the next shift.
* Ensure Centre remains well presented, clean and tidy at all times.
* Deal with Emergency First Aid incidents (training provided if needed)
* Setting up areas for sports usage
Working Hours
The Sports Attendant will be required to work flexibly, Late shifts and some weekends to meet the demands of the Centre. The Centre's current opening hours are Mon - Fri 6.00 am to 10.00 pm, Weekends 8.00am-7.00pm & Bank Holidays 8.00 am to 8.00pm. Early shifts start 15 minutes before the centre opens and late shifts finish 15 minutes after the centre closes This post requires flexibility in working hours and there may, at times, be a requirement for you to provide additional cover for holidays and sickness.
