Lecturer in Health Sciences (Inter-professional Education)

Join Bangor University as a Lecturer in Health Sciences (Inter-professional Education) at the School of Health Sciences.

The School of Health Sciences is offering an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity for an aspiring or experienced lecturer to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject area, and it is desirable that the candidates have current registration with a relevant healthcare professional body.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach at undergraduate (and postgraduate) levels, including supervision of projects and marking of academic assessments with a focus on leadership and management within the healthcare setting. They will also be expected to develop teaching materials or methodologies and undertake administrative duties as designated by the Head of School.

Person Specification:

* Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject area.
* Professional registration (e.g. NMC, HCPC) desirable.
* PGCertHE teaching qualification or equivalent desirable.
* A sound knowledge of contemporary policy and practice in health and care.
* Evidence of teaching in clinical or academic settings.
* Excellent verbal and written skills.
* Demonstrable computer skills, including MS Office, Powerpoint, Excel.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

* To participate in performance review and developmental activities.
* To comply with the University’s equality policies and statements, Dignity at Work and Study Policy and the University’s Welsh Language Scheme.
* To maintain a general and legal duty of care in relation to health, safety and wellbeing.
