General Foreman - United Utilities Shaft Sinking A well-established national Tier 2 Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking an experienced General Foreman to join its North West division working on Projects across the Cumbria Region. The role will support the delivery of a varied portfolio of United Utilities water infrastructure projects across the region. Project Types Include: * Shaft Sinking * Micro Tunnelling & Trenchless Works * Deep Drainage & Utilities * Reinforced Concrete Structures * Water & Wastewater Infrastructure * Pumping Stations & Associated Civils * Access Works & Site Infrastructure Role & Responsibilities: * Day-to-day management and supervision of site activities on water infrastructure projects * Leading site teams including foremen, engineers, operatives, and specialist subcontractors * Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification * Overseeing complex operations including shaft sinking and micro tunnelling activities * Coordinating plant, materials, and labour requirements * Implementing and enforcing Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality standards * Working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers to drive productivity and programme delivery * Reviewing and implementing RAMS and method statements, particularly for high-risk underground works * Maintaining accurate site records, progress reports, and si...
