The Role: This role is part of our Saab Seaeye Business Unit in Fareham. This will be supporting the Quality Team by ensuring products and processes meet established standards by identifying, analysing, and resolving quality issues. Improve product quality through continuous improvement and other quality tools. Key accountabilities and responsibilities: Defining quality standards and devising testing methods for products and processes Conduct internal Quality audits. Address the COPQ by resolution of quality issues, use of Advanced Practical Problem Solving methodologies Review and accept/reject change requests on behalf of the Quality department. Conduct fault investigations when electromechanical and electronic faults are identified from internal sources and Customer complaints/NCRs. Determine/identify root cause. Maintain and be the focal point of contact for the failure reporting and analysis system. Produce analysis from Internal and external fault matrix and propose corrective and preventative actions to prevent reoccurrence of faults identifying fault trends. Champion Continuous Quality Improvement. Assist production personnel in resolving quality issues. Liaise with design and production engineers to achieve/resolve root causes of failure and drive change. Support cross functional design reviews to ensure quality is designed in to product General accountabilities and responsibilities: To use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in day to day activities and procedures within the specified role.
