Location: Sunderland
Contract: Initial 6-month agency assignment
Hours: 33.25 hours per week (including weekends and Bank Holidays)
A leading care provider in Sunderland is seeking compassionate, flexible, and values-driven Support Workers to join their Supported Living and Short Breaks Services. This organisation delivers a wide range of high-quality, person-centred care services to vulnerable adults across the city, with a strong focus on promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting adults with varying needs, including those with mental health diagnoses who may require a period of assessment and rehabilitation.
What You'll Do:
* Work as part of a supportive and dedicated team to deliver person-centred care.
* Promote independence, choice, and control in daily living for each individual.
* Ensure the care provided reflects the voices, rights, and preferences of the people supported.
* Foster a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for all service users.
What We're Looking For:
* A genuine commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
* Strong values aligned with dignity, respect, professionalism, and empathy.
* The ability to work within structured rota patterns (including weekends and holidays).
* While previous care experience is welcome, it’s not essential – your attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are what matter most.
* Existing accredited training (e.g., Moving & Assisting, First Aid, Medication Handling) is desirable but not required.
What We Offer:
* A meaningful and rewarding role within a supportive care team.
* Structured rota patterns to support work-life balance.
* Access to excellent training and development opportunities.
* A positive workplace culture focused on collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.
